Monkeys are excellent climbers. Unlike apes, they cannot swing arm-over-arm but run on branches on all fours. Monkeys have flat, rather human faces and highly developed hands and feet, with opposable big toes and thumbs. Old World monkeys, more closely related to apes and humans than New World monkeys, include the macaque, the baboon, and the mandrill.
